Long COVID is associated with lower percentages of mature, cytotoxic NK cell phenotypes

Researchers with LIINC demonstrated that the number of a certain type of immune cell called “NK cells” was lower in the blood of people with Long COVID compared to people without. These cells may instead be leaving the bloodstream to respond to persistent COVID-19 virus in the tissues of the body.
